HVAC Repair and Service

Skilled HVAC Repair Service by Your Local Team at Gresham Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc.

When something goes wrong with your home’s HVAC unit, you want a company that understands your frustration and is ready to get your system back up and running quickly.

At Gresham Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc., we know how an air conditioner or furnace breakdown disrupts the entire home. Our service technicians will come out to diagnose and repair your HVAC system so that things get back to normal.

Whether it is an air conditioner that will not work, or a furnace blowing cold air, there are a variety of reasons homeowners call us in for help.

Our HVAC repair service technicians will ask you a few questions about your system when you schedule the appointment, including the symptoms your HVAC system is giving off, concerns, and if there are any HVAC goals you might have for your home.

If you are unsure whether to call us or not, here are a few reasons explaining why homeowners may need HVAC repair technicians dispatched to their home:

  • Thermostat Failure: Heating and cooling will not engage if the thermostat is not sending a message to the system itself. You should always check the thermostat to ensure it is set in the right mode and look at the temperature setting too. Then, contact our team if the system still does not turn on.
  • Air Supply Issues: A unit blowing only a little air, or no air may have a blower issue, clogged filter, or air returns plugged. You can check to make sure your air supply vents have nothing blocking them, but still, give a technician a call. Sometimes low air is a sign of a bigger issue. Waiting too long could mean encountering a system that breaks down entirely.

Preparing for Your HVAC Appointment

You can streamline the process of diagnosing and repairing your HVAC by completing a few simple steps:

  • Model Number: Find the model number for your HVAC system and let your technician know when you schedule the appointment. This helps technicians troubleshoot, but also ensure they have the right replacement parts in stock. For air conditioners and heat pumps, the model number is on the rating plate sticker, which is above the valve connections. For furnaces, the model number is on the upper left side of the unit when you remove the front panel.
  • Check Circuit Breakers: Check your home’s circuit breakers to make sure nothing was tripped.
  • Check the Filter: A system with a dirty filter may stop working until it is replaced. Check your furnace filter and replace if it is dirty. A one-inch filter should be changed once a month, while the two-inch models can last longer and changed every other month.

When things are not working right with your HVAC system, or you would like to schedule routine maintenance to avoid these unnecessary hiccups, turn to your local pros.
